Armentrout Receives Scholarship at Jake’s Day
The Tucker County Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation has awarded a scholarship to Alex Armentrout, who is currently attending David and Elkins College. Armentrout has been a NWTF member for several years. The presentation took place in Davis, at the annual banquet hosted by the local Tucker County chapter.
The NWTF has awarded over 3 million dollars in scholarships to help the next generation of conservation leaders continue their education.
The Tucker County Chapter of the NWTF is host to a Jakes Day event also and this year the chapter signed up 35 new members. Stations at this event include skeet shooting, archery, target shooting, hunter safety, turkey calling and more.
The Tucker County Chapter will be donating 20 turkeys to food pantries in the county to be prepared for the Thanksgiving holiday.
To learn more about the NWTF or if anyone would like to join in the activities, watch for ads in the local paper and flyers posted in the area.
