The Randolph County Circuit Court is continuing a program called The People’s Law School.

This program is an educational and informative opportunity for the public to learn about the law. Each week, there will be a panel of attorneys discussing different subjects of the law.

The topics covered are: Drug Courts/Drug Abuse, Family Law, Property/Real Estate, Criminal Law, and Elderly Laws/Wills/Estates/End of Life Planning. Additionally a Mock Trial will be presented. This will be a six week program which will take place every Thursday evening starting January 23, 2014. The classes will go from 6 – 8:30 p.m., and dinner will be provided.

The People’s Law School will be held in the Randolph County Circuit Courtroom, on the second floor of the Randolph County Courthouse in Elkins. This is a free community service program is made possible by The Randolph County Bar Association, The Randolph County Commission, and Judge Jaymie Godwin Wilfong. It is important to register so a proper amount of food and materials will be available.
