Ilene Evans Brings Ethel Walters “Taking A Chance” To Area Stage Feb 18: By popular demand, free of charge and open to the public, actress, vocalist and choreographer Ilene Evans returns to the area this February 18 to showcase the great blues, jazz and gospel singer Ethel Walters in “Taking A Chance On Love.” Eastern WV Community and Technical College invites students, staff and the community to enjoy the show at 12:30 pm on the college’s main campus at 316 Eastern Drive, just off Corridor H, two miles east of Route 220. A free light lunch will precede the show at noon.

Division Of Culture And History Celebrates 50 Years Of Historic Site Preservation: Randall Reid-Smith, Commissioner of the West Virginia Division of Culture and History (WVDCH), presents certificates of appreciation for three regional Historic Preservation Sites. The National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) listed both Olds Fields homes in 1973. (The third certificate honored the Old Fields and Battle of Moorefield Historic Districts, both determined eligible for NRHP listing.)
