Steven Cousins demonstrates some of the assets and resources of the Parsons Volunteer Fire Department.  The racks along the wall holds the reserve hoses. Loaded on the truck is 1,200 feet of supply hose, hanging on the hook on the back of the truck is a 50 foot section of a  High Rise Pack along with two fire extinguishers, one for regular fires and one for magnesium fires, the Irons are for forcible entry tools and a Positive Pressure Vent Fan.  Cousins also demonstrates the turnout gear and an air pack, which supplies firefighters with approximately 30 minutes of air.  State code mandates turnout gear be replaced every 10 years regardless of the condition, some being replaced sooner due to fire damage.
