Tour of Tucker County Road Race
This event was voted one of the top 10 hardest race courses in America in 2010
Tucker County will play host to numerous bikers and spectators on May 25 as bikers prepare to climb what was voted one of the top 10 hardest race courses in America in 2010. All classes will face two large climbs of seven miles in length. This course also takes you along the Cheat River for several miles of wonderful view of the mountain state.
The course will feature a mountain top finish on Sugarlands Road. This climb has one of the largest grades in the entire county. The start of this race will happen at Tucker County High School, but for safety reasons there will be a controlled roll to the bottom of Sugarlands Land for the start. This will give riders who didn’t get a chance to pre-ride the course a good view of the finishing climb. Once at the bottom of the mountain the race is on.
The bikers will leave Tucker County High School 20 minutes before the first race start time and roll out to the base of the Sugarlands climb.
