The Spring/Summer edition of WV Weddings features the Tucker County Courthouse and some local couples. Model Hayley Carlin is photographed by Amanda Kisamore, of Photography by Amanda, from Parsons, on the front court yard and inside on the stairway to the court room.

Kisamore also did the photography for the wedding of Jennifer Marie Friend and Derek Michael Bolyard. The couple was married on July 12, 2013, at the Dryfork Assembly of God. The bride’s parents are William and Jennifer Friend and the groom’s parents are David and Karen Bolyard.

Also featured in the article were Dena Lynn Helmick and Ian Mehl Beckner. Beckner, an event manager and coordinator from Canaan Valley, and Helmick , physician assistant from Parsons, were high school sweet hearts. The couple was married on August 3, 2013. The bride’s parents are Michael and Linda Helmick and the groom’s parents are David Beckner and Leslie Mehl.

Jessica Lynn Miller and Michael Ernest Lipscomb, of Davis, celebrated their nuptials with a Roaring Twenties theme in Canaan Valley. They were married on June 29, 2013 with Miller’s father officiating over the ceremony. The bride’s parents are Lawrence and Susan Miller and the groom’s parents are Ernest and Nancy Lipscomb.

Angela Marie Whitehair, a home daycare provider from Davis, and Caleb Franklin Johnson, a correctional officer from Morgantown, tied the knot at Nelson Farm in Canaan Valley on June 22, 2013. The bride’s parents are Ronald and Lilaclare Whirehair and the groom’s mother is Melisha Rhome. Photography by Amanda captured the moments for the couple.

Elizabeth Boyers and Frank Roberts made it official on November 16, 2013. They met at the Hendricks Park while watching the fireworks in 2008. During a jeep ride at Seneca Caverns, Roberts took Boyers to the farmhouse where he had asked her to be his girlfriend, got down on one knee and asked her to be his bride. Photography by Amanda is credited for preserving the memory for the couple.
