Wildcats Win Final Game Of The Season Over Tyg Valley 36-16

PARSONS – Tucker Valley finished the season on a good note with a dominating victory over Tygarts Valley Middle 36-16 last Wednesday at home on 8th grade recognition night.

The Wildcats scored on their first possession on a 34 yard touchdown pass from Luke Poling to Jacob Davis. The 2 point conversion was no good to put Tucker Valley up 6-0 with 5:52 left in the first. Tucker Valley would score again after holding the Bulldogs to a 3 and out. This time Brett Reall took a run 54 yards for a touchdown to up the Wildcats lead to 14-0 after the 2 point conversion was good. Tygarts Valley was held again on offense and Tucker Valley scored once more on a 54 yard pass play from Poling to Brandon Zirk. The PAT was good and the Tucker Valley lead ballooned to 22-0 with 7:50 left in the second quarter.

On the Bulldogs next possession the Wildcats defense held again to give Tucker Valley the ball back at the Tygarts Valley 34. Poling would score 5 plays later on a 7 yard touchdown run to bring the score to 30-0 Tucker Valley after the good PAT with 5:23 left in the half. Coach Jim Ambrose then got the reserves into the game and the Wildcats lead at the half 30-0.

In the second half the reserve defense for Tucker Valley gave up 2 scores with one coming with 2:27 left in the third and the other score came with 3:06 left in the game. The Wildcats reserve offense got a score with 7:20 left in the fourth quarter on a 10 yard run by Cole Rapp and the game ended with the final score of 36-16 Tucker Valley.

Luke Poling led Tucker Valley with 105 yards on 3 of 3 passing and Brett Reall added 3 carries for 68 yards rushing. Other players contributing for the Wildcats were Brandon Zirk with 1 catch for 54 yards, Jacob Davis with 1 reception for 34 yards and Jordan Moss had 1 catch for 17 yards. Tucker Valley finished the season 3-5.
