Tucker Valley Boys Win PVL Championship, Finish Season 20-0

ROMNEY – The Tucker Valley JV Boys’ Basketball team traveled to Romney on Monday February 24th to play in the Semi-Finals of the PVL Tournament against Warm Springs. The Wildcats JV fell behind 33-6 at halftime and Tucker Valley fell by the final score of 47-24. Nate Ricottilli and Mickey Mitchell led the Tucker Valley JV with 8 points each in the loss.

ROMNEY – The Wildcats Varsity Boys’ Basketball team took to the road on Tuesday February 25th to play in the Semi-Finals of the PVL Tournament against East Hardy. Tucker Valley got off to a good start as they led after one quarter 22-11. The Wildcats then extended their lead to 37-19 over East Hardy at the half. The score at the end of three was Tucker Valley 53 East Hardy 28. The Wildcats would then go on to win the game by the final score of 63-38.

Ashton Lycliter led Tucker Valley with 24 points and Jeremiah Wratchford added 12 points for the Wildcats. Blaike Adams also chipped in with 10 points for Tucker Valley in the win.

HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Varsity Boys’ Basketball team faced Davis-Thomas at TCHS on Friday February 28th for the PVL Championship. Tucker Valley led after one quarter 13-9.

The Wildcats maintained the lead at the half by the score of 24-19. Davis-Thomas fought back in the third to tie the score at 31-31 after three. The Bears built a 4 point lead with a little over 2 minutes remaining in the game, but Tucker Valley responded late to get the win game and capture the PVL Championship by the score of 43-40.

Ashton Lycliter led Tucker Valley with 12 points. Jeremiah Wratchford and Garrett Willfong had 11 points each for the Wildcats and Ethan Rosenau added 9 points for the Wildcats in the win.
