Travel News
We have previously announced that we are seeking ideas for a 2016 Christmas Trip. Although spring is not yet here, we must begin exploring ideas so as to reserve lodging, event tickets, motor coach, etc. We have received several requests for a trip to the Tennessee area to include sightseeing opportunities, good food and great holiday entertainment. We think we have found all of these in a 5 day – 4 night trip to the Smokey Mountain, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood area.
The trip package would include motor coach transportation, lodging, guided tour through the Foothills of the Smokey Mountains, day of fun and entertainment at Dollywood, great food and dinner entertainment, several holiday shows and more. We would most likely schedule the trip in November in hope of avoiding the severe winter weather.
If you would be interested in such a trip, please give us a call or stop by the senior center to place your name on the list. Once the final plans and price are finalized those on the list will have first choice.
The Travel Committee is looking at some one and two day trip possibilities. If you have any suggestions, please call us so that we can consider your ideas.
The Travel Committee will be collecting the next payment on the Alaska Trip and the July 11 – 13 Lancaster Trip on Thursday, March 10 from 9:30 – 11 a.m.
