Run For It Campaign Underway

Registration for Run For It ’16 opened April 1. Team captains must register their team before July 1. Racers should register before Sept 15 or onsite on race weekend.
The annual 5k race and 2k walk raises support and awareness for nonprofits and charitable causes in Barbour, Grant, Mineral, Preston, Pocahontas, Randolph, and Tucker County, WV and Garrett County, MD. This year’s race will be held 11a, Saturday, Sept. 24 in Davis.
To register a team, download the Team Registration Form at www.tuckerfoundation.net/run/team-info/ and fax to 304-259-5100 or mail to the TCF Development Office, 737 William Ave., Suite 1, Davis, WV 26260 before July 1.
Racers can register online at www.raceroster.com/8610 or in person at the TCF Development Office before Sept. 15.
Generous race sponsors are building the award purse. Large cash awards will benefit the charitable cause represented by race day winners. More than one hundred awards are up for grabs and racers do not have to be fast to win. Entering its 10th year, the program is on track to surpass $1 million in race proceeds that benefit communities’ throughout our region.
The 2k walk/5k race is held on the streets of Davis during Leaf Peepers Festival. Onsite registration is available at the Davis Volunteer Fire Department Friday, Sept. 23, 5-7p and on race day morning 8 – 9:30a. Awards are announced following the race.
