CLARKSBURG – The Lady Mt. Lions Softball team traveled to Notre Dame on Monday April 11th for one game. Tucker County scored 2 runs, but that was not enough as the Lady Irish took the victory 12-2.
Dominique Meadows led Tucker County with a 3 for 3 performance at the plate with 3 singles on the evening. Lindsey Herron and Cheyenne Phillips added a single each to give the Lady Mt. Lions 5 hits in the game. Notre Dame won the contest by the final score of 12-2.
CAMP KIDD – Tucker County hosted Keyser on Tuesday April 12th for a single game. Keyser held the Lady Mt. Lions to no hits in the game to pick up the victory 18-0. The Lady Tornado’s netted 11 hits in the game to push 18 runs home. Keyser did give up 5 walks throughout the game, but Tucker County could not advance the runners to get on the scoreboard. Keyser got the win 18-0.
CAMP KIDD – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted Hampshire for a double header on Saturday April 16th. Tucker County struggled to get their offense going in the first game and fell to the Lady Trojans 18-1.
Dominique Meadows led Tucker County with a double and Gabby Zais added a single for the Lady Mt. Lions as Tucker County managed just 2 hits in the contest. Melanie Adams scored the lone run for Tucker County as they dropped the first game 18-1.
In the second game Hampshire held Tucker County to no hits in the contest and the Lady Mt. Lions gave up 9 hits as Hampshire took the victory 15-1. Bella Zais scored the only run for Tucker County as Hampshire gave up 5 walks. Hampshire took the road victory 15-1 to sweep the double header.
The Lady Mt. Lions will be back in action on tonight Wednesday April 20th at Philip-Barbour for a single game at 4:30pm. Tucker County will then travel to East Hardy for a double header on Thursday April 21st. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
