Tucker County Track Finishes Strong at Preston & North Marion

KINGWOOD – The Tucker County Girls’ & Boys’ Track teams traveled to Preston on Tuesday April 19th for a 6 team meet. The Girls’ team took 2nd place with a total team score of 109 points and the Boys’ team finished in 3rd place with a team score of 107.

RACHEL – The Mt. Lions Girls’ & Boys’ Track teams traveled to North Marion for the United Mine Workers of America Invitational on Friday April 22nd. Mother Nature got the meet started first as lighting caused an hour delay before the first event happen. The meet featured 9 teams with Tucker County being the only Class “A” school competing. The Boys’ team ended the night with a 2nd place finished as they totaled 98 overall points and were just 8 points away from first place finisher East Fairmont. The Girls’ team also finished 2nd in the meet with a total of 104 points.
