Trout Stocking

The following waters were stocked: Blackwater River, Dry Fork (Randolph, Tucker, Seneca Lake, Shavers Fork (Bemis), Shavers Fork (lower section – Bowden to Bemis), Shavers Fork (lower section), Shavers Fork (upper section – downstream of C&R to Bemis), Shavers Fork (upper section rail stocking – above Cheat Bridge, Spruce Knob Lake.

Storytime

The Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge is having Storytime on Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m. The topic is Life of a Tree. The program will include a story, a walk on the Refuge and snack.

PHS Alumni meeting

The Parsons High School Alumni Association will meet at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Little Andi’s restaurant in Parsons. Final arrangements will be discussed for the PHS Alumni Banquet on Saturday May 28, 2016. For info call 304-478-2660.

Mountaintop Public Library Board of Trustees meeting

The next bi-monthly meeting of the Mountaintop Public Library Board of Trustees will be held at the library on Thursday, May 12 at 5: p.m.. The meetings are open to the public.

International Migratory Bird Day

International Migratory Bird Day will be from 7 – 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the CVNWR. Open house at the Visitor’s Center will be from 2 – 5 p.m. A Raptor presentation will be from 2:20 – 3:45 p.m. On Sundy, May 15 from 5 – 8 p.m. will be Birding by Kayak. Bring your own kayak. FREE hearing screenings

Advanced Hearing Solutions will be at the St George Medical Clinic from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Tuesday May 17 to provide FREE hearing screenings in support of better hearing month.

Lodge # 2712 meeting

The Elkins (MSC) Lodge # 2712 will meet every first and third Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Elkins Library lower meeting room. All new members and candidates are encouraged to attend.

Theological discussion

Wonder what it means Wednesday a theological discussion for the curious at 7p.m. May 11, 2016 at Parsons Presbyterian Church.

Membership Meeting

The Mountain Top Hunting Club will have a membership meeting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the Davis Fire Department.

T.C. Retired School Employees Meeting

Tucker County Historical Society Meeting

Tucker County Historical Society will meet Sunday May 15, 2 p.m. at the Tucker County Historical Society Museum in the Tucker County Annex at 501 Chestnut St., Parsons. Visitors welcome.
