Food Handler’s Training Classes
Tucker County Health Department will be conducting Food Handler’s Training Classes at the Senior Center in Thomas on Wednesday, May 25 at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.. Those persons attending the class will be issued a food handler’s permit which will be good for two years. A $10 registration fee will be collected upon admittance. The classes will start promptly and late arrivals will not be admitted.
Church Yard Sale
There will be a yard sale, bake sale and hot dog sale 9 a.m. – ? Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Parsons.
Cheat-Potomac Ranger District Fishing Derby

Benefit Gospel Sing
There will be a benefit gospel sing and auction from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at the Parsons Senior Center. All proceeds go to Teresa Evans White to pay medical and funeral expenses for her husband Will. Items needed for auction, donations can be dropped off at Mont and Barbara Miller’s. ArtSpring in Parsons
ArtSpring will be celebrated in Parsons on Saturday, May 28, with river rock painting. This activity will take place at Mill Race Park, is open to all ages, and runs from 10 a.m. – Noon. Suggested donation: $1 for children, $3 for adults.
