Residents of The Pines apartments in Thomas and Pineview houses, all behind Cortland Acres Nursing Home and Rehab Center can be seen several times a day walking the mile from their homes to Rose Hill Cemetery; many of them picking up litter. One day last week Audrey Lough, Deedy and John Williams and Mariwyn Smith, and in front, Marge Dorsey holding their mascot, Tinkerbell, enjoyed walking and “adopting the path.” They found dozens of cans and bottles they recycled.
