PARSONS – A Dryfork man is currently in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail and is facing multiple counts of 2nd degree sexual assault and 2nd degree sexual abuse by a parent or guardian. James Dixson Wilson, 52, was charged with one felony count of 2nd degree sexual assault and one count 2nd degree sexual abuse by a parent or guardian on Tuesday. Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora said papers will be served on Wilson which charges him with an additional 552 felony counts of 2nd degree sexual assault and an additional 552 felony counts of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.
Wilson is currently at the TVRJ and has a cash only bond of $50,000. The bond was set by Harrison County Magistrate Keith Marple because Wilson was taken into custody in Harrison County.
The criminal complaint filed in Tucker County Magistrate Court on May 19, said the referral came from the Department of Health and Human Resources. It said that Child Protective Services made contact with the alleged victim and family and that an interview was conducted by the Children’s Advocacy Center.
The complaint states that during that interview, a minor under the age of 16, disclosed sexual assault which allegedly took place in Tucker County on July 26, 2008 during a family reunion. The complaint says the alleged victim said James Dixson Wilson took them into a barn on the family property and threatened the life of the victim, family and family pet if she would not engage in sexual intercourse.
The complaint states the alleged victim said she did not consent to any sexual contact with the accused.
If convicted of these charges, Wilson could be sentenced to 10 to 25 years in a state penitentiary for each of the total 1,106 counts.
