This is a picture of a child’s money bank meant to promote thrift. It was given out by the First National Bank of Parsons in 1976. It was meant to celebrate Two Hundred Years of Our Rights and Liberties. It came with a lock and key. On the bottom is written: Thrift.. so easily cultivated, is a desirable trait for anyone, but especially so for children who need to learn the value of money and the importance of saving. A Good Habit! of all the qualities that can and should be cultivated, scarcely any are as important to our future welfare as thrift.
