Ronald C. Brubaker, Red Creek, was cited for speeding (59-45) and no valid proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest to the first charge and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.

The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Jeffrey Allen Barb, Elkins, was charged with Violation of a Protective Order on May 16. According to the complaint, on the above date the victim allegedly received two phone calls. One was on her cell phone at approximately 10:09 p.m. from Houston, Texas. The victim did not answer the phone because her son had allegedly received calls from this same number with a recording from the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, which is where the defendant was housed at the time. The victim allegedly received a second call around 10:11 p.m. on her home phone. She allowed this call to go to the voice mail. The recording stated it was a call from an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. These calls were received while the defendant was being housed at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. There is an active protective order on file against the defendant in which the victim filed. The defendant is the victim’s estranged husband. This complaint is based on the information obtained from the victim. The defendant is under a $2,000 cash bond.
Danielle Marie Satterfield, Elkins, was charged with Indecent Exposure; Possession of a controlled substance and Obstruction of justice. The complaint states that on Friday, May 20 at approximately 11:44 a.m., Cpl. J.E. Kopec and Sgt. C.D. Siler, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, received a call from Tucker County 911 in reference to suspicious persons and alleged drug activity in a Pine Patch along Price Street in Parsons. Kopec and Siler arrived at the Pine Patch where the suspicious persons and alleged drug activity were taking place and identified two subjects. The two subjects were identified as the accused; Danielle Marie Satterfield, and an acquaintance of her’s; Michael Brooks Ketterman. The officers observed both subjects to allegedly be naked and appeared to be having sex. When both subjects were caught they began to cloth themselves, which the officers allowed to do so for the protection of their personal dignity and decency. Once both subjects were clothed, Kopec searched them for weapons. No weapons were found on either person. The officers allegedly discovered many items of drug paraphernalia to include meth pipes and used syringes. The defendant admitted to the back pack which allegedly contained used hypodermic needles and meth pipes. The defendant also admitted that she was having sex when the officers walked up on them. The officers secured the evidence and both parties belongings. While on scene, Satterfield kept moving around and not staying seated where she was informed to do so by both officers. Satterfield was arrested for indecent exposure; possession of a controlled substance and obstructing. She is under a $1,750 PR bond.

The defendant allegedly had in his possession, a Tylenol bottle containing multiple Gabapentin pills. This bottle was in his shirt pocket and then was found on the ground near where he was sitting. While searching the area for evidence of the crime, Kopec observed the defendant moving his foot around in front of the log he was sitting on. Kopec recovered what is believed to be five 8mg Buprenorphine or “Suboxzone” pills in the area in which four of them were covered in dirt and already beginning to dissolve. The defendant allegedly began arguing with both officers and was informed to remain quiet so the officers could conduct their investigation. The defendant cursed the officers, more specifically Sgt. Siler. While being escorted out of the pine patch, the defendant allegedly pulled away from Siler and continued to be verbally abusive and belligerent, cursing at Siler. While on Detachment, the defendant continued to curse and act belligerent after being told to stop by Siler. Ketterman was arrested for Indecent exposure; Possession of a controlled substance; four counts Obstruction of justice and false information to State Police. He is under a $3,450 cash bond.
