Kenneth Ray Wratchford, 79, of Hydes, MD passed away June 15, 2016 in Thomas, WV. He was born October 31, 1936 in Mackeyville, WV, a son of the late George Dewey and Macil Buckbee Wratchford. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Mae Helmick Wratchford. Also surviving is one son, James Allan Wratchford, two daughters, Barbara Elaine Channell and Diane Lynn Rile, nine grandchildren, Sarah, Shaunna, Heather, LeeAnn, Pahala, James, Douglas, Christina, and Amanda, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Ray Wratchford Jr. and Roger Lee Wratchford.
Mr. Wratchford worked for General Motors holding several different positions throughout his employment. He was a member of the FOE 936 and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with his friends, and especially eating James’s home cooking. He was a very dedicated man and never missed a day of work, even when he was sick.
Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Monday, June 20, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., the funeral hour, with Rev. Neil Parsons officiating. Interment followed in Flanagan Hill Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
