4-H project winners at the Tucker County Fair

PARSONS – Tucker County 4-H’ers were the big winners at this year’s Tucker County Fair. 4-H youth spend months working on projects designed to equip them with essential life skills such as problem solving, decision making, project management, communications and public speaking. 4-H members then share their accomplishments and educate others about their subject at the Tucker County Fair.
This year 55 4-H members exhibited 76 completed projects on many different subject matters. Winners include:
This is 4-H: first place and best of show, Jacey Davis; second place winners Blake Adams, Amanda Snider, Kimber Auvil, Zada Carr, Tanner Sebastian, Ariona Plumley, and Trinity Beaver; third place winners Hunter L., Alicia Barb, Chole Cummings, Treye Wagner, Adrian Nestor and Preston Wolfe.
Design You Own Project: first place and best of show, Angela Myers; first place, Kaylee Nedrow, Makayla Wilson, Elizabeth Buchannon and Jenna White.
First place and best of show to Kate Falls; first place to Kate Falls, Rorry Day, Harley Wilson, Alissa Phillips, Ethan Carr and Melissa Johnston; second place to Will White and Lillyan Plumley.
Cooking: First place and best of show Samantha Long, Abigail Long and Makayla Long; second place Karlie Thompson, Ariona Plumley, Tabitha Adams, Cameron Mullenax and Calista Eye; third place Hayley Tuttle and Amara Snider.
First Aid: second place Melanie Adams and Cameron Mullenax.
Staying Healthy: second place, Kate Bates.
Under Construction: second place, Morgan Cowgill.
Tree Identification: first place Owen Porter.
Hiking: second place Sarah Bates.
Fishing: third place Andrew Cale.
Woodworking: second place Kevin Barb.
Tractors: first place and best of show Tanner Burns.
Electricity: second place Owen Porter.
Small Engines: second place Mateo Hinkle.
Spring Wildflowers: first place and best of show Camille Smith.
Potatoes: second place Holly Myers and Katelyn Myers.
Horses: first place and best of show, Kate Falls; first place, Madison Mullenax; third place, Tate Mullenax.
Chickens: third place Hayden Smith.
Pigs: first place Kate Falls.
Cats: first place, Kate Falls.
Pet Pals: first place, Kate Falls.
Wiggles and Wags: first place Dora Day; and second place Chole Cummings.
