PARSONS – Big smiles and big waves greeted those attending the 2016 Tucker County Fair Pageant. Winners were selected in the Baby Tucker County, Baby Boy Tucker County, Mini Miss Tucker County, Tiny Miss Tucker County and Little Miss Tucker County categories.
Elva Bible of Davis was selected as the Little Miss Tucker County. She lives in Davis and is 6-years-old. She is the daughter of Sonya Bible and is the granddaughter of Dave and Debbie Bible and the great granddaughter of Betty Bonner. She attends St. John’s Lutheran Church in Davis and is a member of Dance by Farrah. Her favorite food is pizza and she likes horses, swimming and dancing.
Jaelyn Myers of Parsons was named Tiny Miss Tucker County. Jaelyn is the daughter of Jason and Rebecca Myers of Parsons and is 5-years-old. She is the granddaughter of Leroy and Janet Myers and Diana Rothenburgh and Joe Rothenburgh of Casile, New York. Her nanny is Deb Hinkle of Hambleton. Jaelyn attends kindergarten at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School. She is a member of Dance by Farrah and she attends Riverview Chapel Church. She is associated with the Shriners Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. She enjoys eating Reese Cups and likes dancing, singing and playing dress up.
Amesley Channell of Parsons was the first runner up for Tiny Miss Tucker County. She lives in Parsons and is the daughter of Bryan and Brittany Channell and the granddaughter of Sonny and Crystal Hardy and Gary and Norma Channell. She is in kindergarten at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School. Her favorite foods are oodles of noodles, pickles and fries with hot cheese from Sheetz. She enjoys cheerleading, dancing, tumbling, riding her bike and taking care of her baby dolls.
Second runner up for Tiny Miss Tucker County is BraiLynn Marsh. She is 4-years-old and lives in Hambleton. Her parents are Brennon and Kathy Marsh and grandparents are Bobbie and Dave Naylor and Mike and Kathy Marsh. BraiLynn attends preschool at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School. Her favorite foods include spaghetti, peas and chicken nuggets. She is in gymnastics and ballet and likes driving in her Frozen Jeep. She attends the Free Methodist Church in Hendricks.
Madelyn Grace Crossland was the winner in the Mini Miss Tucker County contest. She lives in Eglon and is the daughter of Jason and Alisha Crossland and granddaughter of Carole Pennington and the late Bo Pennington and Debbie and Gary Crossland. Madelyn likes to eat pizza and she likes to color and ride 4-wheelers.
Sydney Vandevender, 2, was first runner up in the Mini Miss Tucker County contest. She is the daughter of Justin and Jessy Vandevender and the granddaughter of Kevin and Carolyn Pifer, Greg and Lynn Vandevender and Shawn and Kim Johnson. She attends Sugar Grove Church. She likes eating chicken nuggets and enjoys her pets and farm animals.
The winner of the Baby Boy Tucker County is Brody Crossland. He is four months old and is the son of Jason and Alisha Crossland and the grandson of Carole and the late Bo Pennington and Debbie and Gary Crossland. He enjoys car shows and chewing on his stuffed Mickey Mouse. He lives in Eglon.
The new Baby Miss Tucker County is Hadley Jack. She is from Harman and is 8-weeks old. Her parents are Joshua and Rachel Jack and her grandparents are Geraldine Cochran and Sonny Pitzer. Her favorite food is mama’s milk and she likes to ride in mama’s truck and listen to daddy’s bear hunting stories.
The first runner up in the Baby Miss Tucker County Contest is Austyn Harsh, age 10-months. Austyn is the daughter of Todd and Sara Harsh from Hendricks. Her grandparents are Tony White of Hendricks and Tim Harsh of Kerens. She likes to eat sweet potatoes and carrots and she likes playing with animals and listening to music.
Aerial Mallow of Montrose performed songs during the pageant. Judges for the contest include Ruth Bohon of Parsons, Ellen Shaffer of St. George and Abby Nestor of St. George. Auditor was Sandy Shaffer of St. George and the emcee was Danielle Wilfong.
