PARSONS – The Wildcats opened the football season at home against Moorefield last Wednesday August 31st. The game did not go well for Tucker Valley as they dropped the game by the final score of 45-0.
Moorefield wasted no time on offense as they scored with 4:25 left in the first quarter and missed the extra point kick to make the score 6-0 early on. Tucker Valley was unable to get anything going on offense and Moorefield got the ball back. The Yellowjackets got another score before the first quarter came to an end and missed another PAT to push the score to 12-0 after one.
Moorefield flexed their muscle again on defense and got the ball back on offense again with good field position. Moorefield would find the end zone again with 5:35 left in the second quarter to push the visitors lead to 18-0. Then with 2:07 left in the second Moorefield would strike again on a long run to make the score 24-0 at the half.
In the second half Moorefield would score 3 more times and they held Tucker Valley scoreless the entire game to pick up the victory 45-0.
Tucker Valley will travel to East Hardy tonight at 7pm. For more Tucker County Sports info visit TuckerCountySports.Com
