Free Friday will be at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Sept. 30, at 6 pm.
A free meal of several kinds of soups and sandwiches, chips, plus green beans, mac and cheese, ham, chicken. desserts, coffee and cold drinks will be served.
Pre-School Story Time Classes
Pre-School Story Time Classes at the Five Rivers Public Library starting in October through December. Wednesday at 10 a.m. Themes for October Back to School, Fire Prevention, Pumpkins and Halloween dress up Party. When there is no county school there will be no Story Time class. All pre-school age children and their siblings are welcome. Reading, Activities, Crafts, Games and snacks.
Historical Landmark Committee Meeting
The Tucker County Historical Landmark Committee meeting will be at 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3 at the Tucker County Historical Museum located in the Tucker County Board of Education Annex. Public welcome.
Critically Acclaimed Organist to Perform
A public recital of organ music will be presented on October 1, 4 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Davis. Guest artist from Washington DC is Mickey Thomas Terry. Prior to the performance, Dr. Terry will present an organ workshop at 10:30 a.m. Hosted by St. John’s, the event is co-sponsored by the Monongahela Chapter of American Guild of Organists, and Gerrero-Kirk Classic Organ Inc. Fee for all or part of the day’s activities are $10.

Cortland Acres Unveils Photographic Art Winners
Cortland Acres invites the community to attend the unveiling of 14 photographic art pieces that will be displayed in the new Blackwater Short-term Rehabilitation Center. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5. Professional Photographer Randy Sanger, who judged the more than 100 entries, will be on hand to unveil the art pieces and talk about each local artist. Light refreshments will be served.
