PARSONS – No one likes to think about needing repairs to their vehicles, but JBs Auto of Parsons, is there to help in time of need. The shop has a new location – on Route 72 in the former Exxon Station in Parsons. Owner Jerry Bennett said the new location is very convenient and said the business has been busy.
“We have been here since August and this is a great location,” Bennett said. “We offer state inspections and mechanical work. I will do everything except rebuilding engines and transmissions; however, I can switch them out.”
Bennett said there is no job too big or too small.
“We do brakes, rotors, oil changes and tires,” he said. “We strictly do mechanical work.”
Bennett has years of experience and said when he pulls in a vehicle, he makes sure they get out in a reasonable time span.
“I don’t keep them here any longer than I have to,” Bennett said. “I order parts mostly from Kidwell’s because they are close.”
In the summer, JBs Auto will wash and detail vehicles.
“I also work on lawn mowers, weed eaters and pressure washers,” he said.
Additional information about JBs Auto is available by calling 304-704-3146.
“An appointment is not necessary – people can just stop on by,” he said. “This shop is all family run.”
Hours for JBs Auto are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. Bennett said people who work later or who need after hours or weekend appointments should give them a call to set up an appointment.
“People have to have their vehicles,” Bennett said. “We do not order parts for cars without the consent of the owner and all replaced parts are available to the car owner.”
