The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
Caroline E. Mriscin, Shendoah Jct., was cited for speeding (75-65) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Cody E. Weaserfooth, Huntington, was cited for speeding (59-45) by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Aaron D. Friedman, Elkins, was cited for texting/cell phone and no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $125.
Michael A. Cottle, Inwood, was cited for speeding (59-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Jonathan D. Cencich, Richmond, Va. was cited for speeding (59-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Johnna C. Lowther, Buckhannon, was cited for no seatbelt by Cpl. D.W. Burge. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
Jack R. Meriwether, Charlottesville, Va. was cited for speeding (55-45) by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
James M. Slaubaugh, Manassas, Va. was cited for speeding (55-45) by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Matthew L. Lipscomb, Hendricks, was cited for no seatbelt and no proof of insurance by TFC J.J. Schmidle. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $225 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Melissa D. Shahan, Elkins, was charged with battery. According to the complaint, on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Deputy C.A. Teter, of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a fight call in the parking lot of Little Andie’s Restaurant. Upon arrival, Teter observed three females and one male arguing with each other. Teter observed two of the females identified as Christina Andrews and Melissa Shahan continuing to curse, argue, threaten and attempt to physically fight with each other. Teter told all subjects involved to separate from each other so he could speak with each of them and investigate the altercation. EMS was called to check for injuries and all parties refused EMS transport. During the investigation it was discovered that Christina Andrews had pulled over to the parking lot and when her husband, Andy Andrews, came over to talk to her, friends of his came over to check on Andy. While there, a verbal altercation between Christina Andrew, Melissa Shahan, Stephanie See and Linda Moore allegedly turned into a physical fight where hair was pulled, and kicks were thrown, scratching occurred and injuries were sustained as a result of this altercation. Christina Andrews allegedly had scratches and injury to her left eye. Melissa Shahan allegedly had scratches to her face, scratches and bruising on her arms and her glasses had been damaged. Stephanie See allegedly had bruises on her arm, scratches on her chest and face and complained of her head hurting where she had been punched and her hair pulled. Linda Moore allegedly had bruising to her face (right eye area) and forehead, and a small laceration to her left hand. Statements and photographs were obtained. Christina Andrews and Melissa Shahan have a recent history of arguing, threatening and fighting over Andy Andrews. Shahan posted a $500 PZR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
Brandy Renee McCabe, Davis, has been charged with obstructing on officer and false information to State Police. The criminal complaint states that on Friday, Sept. 30 at approximately 12:20 a.m. Cpl. J.E. Kopec traveled to 145 Douglas Rd in Thomas to serve an arrest warrant upon Heather Craun. He knocked on the front door and no one answered. Approximately three minutes later, the accused, Brandy Renee McCabe, walked out the front door and closed it behind her. She asked why the police were at the residence. Kopec informed her that he had an arrest warrant for Craun. He asked McCabe if Craun was in the residence and she allegedly informed him that she was not. She said Craun had left earlier with her boyfriend. Kopec asked McCabe if he could search the residence and McCabe informed him that he was not allowed to search the residence. She informed him that it was not her residence. This conversation was heard by Tucker County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy E.C. Surguy and Sheriff B.K. Wilfong. Kopec depated from the scene and at approximately 12:41 a.m., was called by Sheriff Wilfong that the landlord was at the residence and Craun was there. Wilfong arrived on scene and Craun informed him that McCabe had lied to Kopec abour her not being in the residence and that she was there when the officers were at her house the first time looking for her. Kopec arrested McCabe for obstructing and false information to a State Trooper. On the trip back to the State Police Detachment, Craun informed Kopec that McCabe had told her that the Police were at the residence and that she told them that she was not there. McCabe posted a $1,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 8 at 10:30 a.m., before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
The following case has been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
State of West Virginia verses Leanna Marie Lambert, Huntington. She received judgment of no contest plea for one count speed limitations which occurred on Aug. 13. She was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. The case was heard by Magistrate William M. Miller on Oct. 4.
