[ELKINS, WV] Misha Phillips-Lee, MD, a board certified family medicine physician, has joined Davis Medical Center’s group of family practitioners at the Outpatient Center in Elkins.
Dr. Phillips-Lee is an Elkins native and graduated from Elkins High School. She received her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown and completed her residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC.
Dr. Phillips-Lee is married to Matt Lee, physical therapist, also an Elkins native. Matt has joined his father, David Lee, PT, at Elkins Physical Therapy Service in Elkins. The couple has three children; Caroline, Norah and Emma.
“Matt and I felt like it was time to come home,” said Phillips-Lee. “We enjoyed our time in South Carolina but it’s nice to be back with family and friends. Familiar things like the Forest Festival, high school football games and sledding with our girls are on our “to-do list.”
After completing her residency training in South Carolina, Dr. Phillips-Lee joined a group-owned family medicine and urgent care practice. Her clinical interests include family medicine, wellness and prevention, and diabetes.
“During my medical training I shadowed with Doctors Gainer and Toney. It’s great that I’ll be practicing alongside them at DMC,” said Dr. Phillips-Lee. “I’m a true advocate for wellness and prevention, so I plan to focus on how we continue improving the overall health of our patients and community.”
She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Phillips-Lee is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, call DMC’s Patient Access Center at 304.637.3894.
