Tucker County 4-H hosted its annual Achievement Day on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Youth and volunteers were recognized for their 2016 accomplishments, hard work and dedication.
Over 50 4-Her’s, volunteers and their families were in attendance. Extension Agent, Jesica Streets, welcomed the guested and she and Wendy Wolford, Program Assistant, served as emcees for the day.
Club leaders honored each 4-H member with individual member awards for project completion, county poster contest, state poster contest, state photography contest, recognition of 1st year 4-Hers and recognition of clover buds.
4- Merit is awarded to newer 4-H members that demonstrate exceptional participation & enthusiasm for the program. Those awarded were: Jacey Davis, Karlee Smith, Dora Day, Rorry Day, Abby Wilfong, Chole Cummings and Kate Falls.
Citizenships awards are given members that show 4-H Citizenship in their club and community. Recipients include Andrew Cale, Tate Mullenax, Ethan Carr, Angela Myers, Camille Smith, Kalie Thompson, Karlie Thompson.
Leadership awards are given to members that demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities. Recipients include: Tanner Burns, Sarah Bates, Cameron Mullenax, Will White and Logan Pennington.
I Dare You Leadership Award recognizes those who, with a little encouragement, are ready to see themselves as leaders – young adults who are ready to take the dare. Recipients: Vincent Moats & Micah Thompson.
4-H Service is awarded to an adult volunteer that has contributed to the 4-H Program -A volunteer who donates their time to help where ever and whenever they can. Recipient: Lowell Moore.
FRIEND OF 4-H award is presented to an individual or business that has contributed materially or financially to the success of the 4-H Program. Recipient: Sue Knotts
Outstanding 4-H leader is given to a leader that has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Recipient: Melinda Pennington.
Outstanding 4-H member is presented to a member who best exemplifies the finest qualities of 4-H. Recipient: Olivia Sigley.
