MILL CREEK – The Tucker Valley Middle School football team traveled to Tygarts Valley last Wednesday October 19th for the last game of the season. Tucker Valley ran into a good Bulldog team and fell in the contest 29-6.
The Wildcats got the ball to start the game and their offense went to work. Tucker Valley marched the ball down the field with a drive that used up most of the first quarter. Then on third and nine Jeremy Liller connected on a pass to Bode Shockley for a touchdown to put Tucker Valley up 6-0 after one quarter of play. Tygarts Valley answered in the second quarter with a touchdown and PAT to take an 8-6 lead into the locker room at the half.
The Bulldogs got the kick to start the third quarter and returned it for a touchdown to take a 14-6 lead. Tucker Valley was unable to sustain a drive and the third quarter ended with a score of 14-6. The visiting Wildcats fumbled on their next possession and Tygarts Valley returned it for a touchdown to push the lead to 21-6. Tucker Valley failed to move the ball again on offense and the Bulldogs scored once more with 1 minute left in the game to make the final score 29-6 Tygarts Valley.
