Turner’s Tidbits

This is a feature called Dots and Dashes by Readem N. Weep from the March 24, 1938 Advocate. Highlights from the article include: Davis High School representing Tucker County at the State Tournament in Buckhannon at Wesleyan; there was a suggestion was that the gym there is too small; maybe next year Parsons High will have a band at the sectional tournament; Parsons High won the Potomac Valley Conference championship; track meets will be next for Parsons High as well as marble tournaments, spring social functions, and sixth grade graduation; talk about a need to clean up the city; questioning if Parsons High will have a baseball team this year; discussion about the nice weather and if it continues the anglers will be out.
