jamessuesliJames Joseph ‘Jim” Suesli, age 62 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV, departed this life early Wednesday morning, November 2, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV. Death was unexpected and attributed to a stroke.
He was born Tuesday, December 1, 1953 at Upshur County, a son of the late Eugene William “Gene” and Olive Gillispie Suesli. On July 20, 1974 at Mathias, WV, he was married to the former Debra Kay Swearingen, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dustin Suesli and wife April of Parsons and Jesse Suesli of Hambleton; one daughter, Shana Wratchford and husband Adam of Hambleton; one brother, Alen Wayne Suesli and wife Darlene of Gassaway; three grandsons, Jayden Eugene, Maynard Lynk and Mylas Layne.
He was a graduate of the Mathias twelve-year school with the class of 1971. He attended Potomac State College and was a graduate of West Virginia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was an employee of the Mt. Storm power plant, working for thirty-eight years. He attended the United Methodist Church at Hambleton and was a member of the Pythagoras Lodge #128, A.F.& A.M. of Parsons, where he was a 32-degree Mason and a member of the Osiris Temple of Wheeling. His hobbies included hunting, being outdoors and he loved working.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday November 5, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. Final rites were conducted at the funeral home on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Sue Metzner officiated and interment followed at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV., where the Pythagoras Lodge #128 A.F. & A.M. conducted masonic graveside rites. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for JAMES JOSEPH “JIM” SUESLI. Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
