Man pleads guilty on Tucker County Court

PARSONS – A man has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in Tucker County Circuit Court. Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora III said John Collett appeared in court with his attorney Kourtney Ryan.
Collett pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of battery on an officer and possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced but his sentence was suspended and he was placed on two years of probation.
Collett was ordered to seize all of his weapons.
Tucker County Circuit Judge James W. Courrier presided.
-Also in Tucker County Circuit Court, Parsons resident Robin R. Maxson, 40, appeared for his pre-sentence hearing. Maxson was indicted on two felony counts of sexual assault in the third degree and one felony count of distribution and display of obscene matter to a minor.
Maxson will appear in Tucker County Circuit Court at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 17 for possible sentencing.
