Billy Aldine Jones Sr.

Billy Aldine Jones Sr., 72, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Thursday, December 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
Bill was born Saturday, December 18, 1943 in Parsons, a son of the late Adam Earl Jones and Eva Harsh Jones. On April 3, 1962, he was married to the former Rita May Jordan Jones who survives in Parsons.
Others left to cherish Bill’s memory are his three children, Billy Aldine Jones, Jr. and wife, Melissa Lisa Ann Jones and companion, Hap Mullennex, Kevin Wayne Jones and wife, Francheska, all of Parsons, two sisters Pauline Phillips of Parsons and Lorraine Raines and husband, Jerry of Onego, three brothers, James Jones and wife, June of Wheeling, Wayne Jones of Hambleton, and Keith Jones and wife, Susie of St. George, one sister-in-law, Gail Jones of Parsons, five grandchildren, Aasta Breanne Jones, Makenzie Brooke Sharp, Evin Earl Jones, Michael Wayne Jones and Augustus Mullennex, three great grandchildren, Aria Anne, Dacen, and Zaiden, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were four brothers, Donnie, Dutch, Cecil, and Earl Jones, one sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones, and one brother-in-law, Denver Phillips.
Bill attended the schools of Tucker County and had worked as a heavy equipment operator for LC Coal Company. He had also worked firing the boiler for the Parsons Tannery, had spent several years with Statewide Granite and Vault and had delivered newspapers for The Inter-Mountain. He enjoyed hunting and loved spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hostetler Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 12 noon with Rev. Pat Cassidy officiating. At Bill’s request, his remains will be cremated. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Bill’s memory to Mountain Hospice, 229 Walnut St., PO Box 271, Parsons, WV 26287. The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Billy Aldine Jones Sr. Condolences may be made to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
