The following waters were stocked: Blackwater River; Dry Fork (Randolph,Tucker); Laurel Fork (Randolph); Shavers Fork (Bemis); Shavers Fork (lower section); Shavers Fork (upper section); Shavers Fork C&R (Stuarts Park Recreation Area); Spruce Knob Lake; Teter Creek Lake.
Sunday Dinner
There will be a dinner, from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 at Szilagyi Center in Rowlesburg with meatloaf and a variety of vegetables, salads, fruit and desserts. Sponsored by Rowlesburg Revitalization Committee.
Pies For Easter
Our Lady of Mercy Church Guild is taking orders for coconut cream, lemon meringue or chocolate pies for $10 each. Place orders by April 4, by calling Melinda at 304-478-3814. Pick up on Friday, April 14 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church Social Hall, Water Street, Parsons.
Story time
There will be a spring storytime event hosted by Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge AmeriCorps members at the Mountaintop Public Library on Thursday, March 23 from 4-5 p.m. Pre-school aged children are welcome, and a craft will follow story time.
