Thomas, WV—The City of Thomas Planning Commission met on March 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Thomas Education Center in a regular meeting to discuss Thomas’ comprehensive planning process.
The first step of the comprehensive planning process for the Thomas Planning Commission is to gather public input. The Commission will hold a required public meeting in Thomas to determine community members’ wants, needs, and priorities relating to topics including but not limited to land use, infrastructure, housing, and public services.
Thomas’ City Limits extend almost to Blackwater Falls State Park on the South side. With Thomas’ broad city limits and future plans for Corridor H construction, the land use chapter in the comprehensive plan will be particularly important.
The first public meeting will be held on April 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Thomas Education Center. All Thomas residents, community members, and stakeholders are welcome to attend.
