Chili Cook-off
The Rowlesburg Volunteer Fire Department will offer the big Chili Cook-Off to benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children on Saturday, April 29 in Rowlesburg at the Fire Station at noon. $5Admission fee and $5to taste Chili. Revival
Revival at Parsons Church of God with Evangelist George Moxley, April 23 through April 28. Service times for Sunday April 23 will be at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Service times for Monday April 24 through Friday, April 28 will be 7 p.m. nightly. Everyone is invited to attend.

Win a YETI Cooler
The Parsons Volunteer Fire Department is selling chances with three different winners. First place winner receives a Yeti Tundra cooler, 4lb Yeti ice, and a 30 oz Rambler. Second place receives a Yeti Soft Hopper cooler, 2lb Yeti ice and a 30 oz Rambler. Third place receives custom corn hole boards with the winners choice of design. The tickets are $5 for 1 or $10 for 3. See any Parsons Firefighter for tickets. The drawing will be held May 13, 2017.
Food Handler’s Class
There will be a food handler’s class with registration at 6 p.m. on April 26 at Mt. Grove Community Building.
Celebration of Mission Event
Free soup beans, cornbread, ramps, potatoes, dessert and drinks from 4 – 7 p.m. Saturday April 22 at the Hambleton United Methodist Church. Donations welcome, but not necessary, for missions and church.
TC Assoc. of Retired School Employees Mtg Apr. 20
TCARSE will meet at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 20, at “The Dug Out” restaurant (location changed this month)! All retired school employees are invited to attend. Discussions include health and life insurance and retiree benefits.
Ramp Dinner
A Ramp Dinner will be on April 29 at the VFW Post 3008 in Rowlesburg, from noon – 6 p.m. Meal includes meatloaf, ham, ramps, raw and cooked, beans with and without ramps, cornbread with and without ramps, potatoes and ramps, stewed ramps, and a few other odds and ends.Adults $10, $6 for children.
