Davis Medical Center launches new App for Same Day Appointments

Elkins, WV – Davis Health System has unveiled the Davis SameDay app – enabling patients to easily connect to same day medical appointments.

The App, which is available to both Apple and Android mobile devices, offers quick, convenient access to the Davis Medical Center (DMC) Patient Access Center to schedule appointments.

“We’ve been working to improve timely access to patient care,” said Tracy Fath, Vice President of Marketing and Development for Davis Health System.  “With the new App, patients are only a couple clicks away from a live representative to help them find options for an appointment.”

When patients use the App’s call button, a DMC representative searches across locations throughout Davis Health System for an appointment that best suits their needs. “If you call before noon, we’ll offer you a same-day appointment and if you call after noon, we’ll offer you an appointment for the next day,” Fath added.

Davis SameDay also enables patients to:

  • Find information about DMC facilities including hours and directions
  • Learn about upcoming community health events
  • Receive push notifications from DHS
  • Keep track of important healthcare information

“More and more of our patients are using technology to improve their health and manage their healthcare.  In response, Davis Health is becoming more digitized and consumer-oriented,” said Fath.  “This summer we’re planning the launch of a new website with enhanced interactive features like bill pay, wellness tools, prescription renewal, and cost estimation.”

The App was developed by West Virginia-based technology company Illume Media Group.
