Educator of the Year: Bobbi Quattro
Special Education Aide for Tucker County High School
Mountain Hospice is the proud sponsor of this award.
One colleague wrote, “Mrs. Quattro shows these kids how to live life with grace, passion, tolerance, and caring love. With honesty, integrity, and sense of humor, she creates a warm atmosphere of support. Because of her sincere commitment and deep care to the individual child, kids naturally open up to her. She carefully guides and support these kids through life’s challenges. Many of the students have reported to me that without Mrs. Quattro, they would quit school, be incarcerated, or addicted to drugs. Instead, she provides students with hope and a sense of belonging that empower them to make healthy choices and to fulfill their life’s potential.”
One nomination said, “Miss. Bobbi often gives her personal time outside of school to do activities with her students even after they have graduated. When I think of Tucker County, I think of someone like Miss Bobbi; always kind and genuinely concerned about how you are doing.”
