TRAVEL NEWS
As of now plans are underway for a trip on Thursday, July 20, 2017 to go to Pittsburgh, PA to see the Pirates play the Brewers. As of this time we do have enough people but still have several places available. If you would like to join our group, PLEASE call the Center at 304-478-2423 as soon as possible. We must turn in any tickets which have not been sold by June 1st. We have obtained fantastic seats behind home plate. We will be sitting under the overhang in case of rain or too much sun. The price is $125 per person which includes your ticket to the game, the motor coach and a ride on the Gateway Clipper Shuttle to PNC Park. The plans are complete for the September 10, 2017 to September 15, 2017 trip to Myrtle Beach. The cost of this trip will be $ 700.00 per person based on double occupancy. The next payment of $140 will be due on June 1st. If you have any questions, feel free to call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423. There ARE still some spaces available so if you are interested, please give us a call.
We realize that it is early but plans have been made for a return Christmas trip to the Galt House in Louisville, KY. We will be going November 27 – 30. We have included the luncheon cruise on the Spirit of Jefferson, Churchill Downs, the Mega Caverns and several other attractions. The price will be $700. We will not begin collecting until July but you can start saving now. The payments will be $ 140 per person. If you are interested, please call and get your name and phone number on the list. The list is starting to fill up so call quickly. As always, we will call the people in the order of the list.
Keep your eyes open because we are working on some 1 and 2 day trips. As soon as we have things worked out we will put it in the newspapers and the newsletters.
PARSONS MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION
The Parsons Center will be having their Memorial Day celebration on Thursday May 25, 2017 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Please join us as we honor those who gone before us.
HOLIDAY CLOSINGS
Both of the Tucker County Senior Citizen facilities will be closed on Monday May 29th in observance of Memorial Day. They will reopen on Tuesday at their regular time.
WVDVA REPRESENTATIVE
