Teams planning to participate in Run For It 2017 have until July 1 to register. Anyone interested in forming a team for the annual 5k race and 2k walk can download the registration form at www.tuckerfoundation.net/run/team-info/ and fax it 304.259.5100 on or before July 1.
The annual program of the Tucker Community Foundation has helped to generate over $1.2 million for nonprofits and charitable causes in Barbour, Grant, Mineral, Preston, Pocahontas, Randolph, and Tucker County, WV and Garrett County, MD since its start in 2007. This year’s race will be held 11a, Saturday, Sept. 23 in Davis.
Racers have until 9:30 a.m. on race day to register. Register online, view the list of teams registered, and donate at www.raceroster.com/11783 or at the TCF Development Office in Davis before Sept. 15.
A cash purse exceeding $90,000 will benefit nonprofits and charitable causes represented by winners of more than one hundred award categories. Speed is not required to win – many of the awards are based on efforts to raise support and awareness.
The race winds through the town of Davis during Leaf Peepers Festival. Onsite registration is available at the Davis Volunteer Fire Department Friday, Sept. 22, 5-7p and race day morning 8 – 9:30a.
