Jeckie Louise (Brown) Pugh, age 74 years, a resident of Parsons, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, June 27, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
She was born Monday, December 7, 1942, in Shaw, West Virginia, to the late Harry Erwin and Ida Ellen (Wotring) Brown. She was a graduate of Elk Garden High School.
She is survived by one daughter, Marcia Lee Quattro and husband, Jimmy; one son, Michael JamesPugh and wife, Kelly; six grandchildren, Ellen Freeman and partner Chris Reynolds, Erica Setzer, Zachary Pugh and wife Andie, Allison Pugh and husband Nathan Selby, Dylan Pugh and fiancé Claudia, and Tyler Pugh; three great-grandchildren, Adalyn Pugh, Wesson Pugh and Madilynn Pugh; two sisters, Patty Broadwater and husband Dwight, and Mary Heath; one brother, Ralph Poling and wife Louise; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Marie Pugh; life partner, George Argyrides; and several siblings.
Jeckie attended First Baptist Church of Parsons, was a longtime Foster Grandparent volunteer in Tucker County Schools, and worked in restaurant service for many years and worked for Shirley’s restaurant until its closing. She enjoyed working with children and fellowship with friends and family.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11 AM. The Rev. Greg Smith will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV.
