TRAVEL NEWS
We are continuing to take collections for the Myrtle Beach trip in September and the Christmas trip to Louisville in November. We still have some spaces available for both trips. If you are interested in either of these trips, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423.
We are currently making plans for a 2 day/1 night trip to Wheeling, WV. The price will be $170 per person based on double occupancy. The dates are August 9th and 10th. The trip will include visits to the West Virginia Penitentiary, The Mound, The Palace of Gold, Cabela’s and the Wheeling Island Casino. At the Casino there will be a polka band and live dog races as well as the slots etc. If you are interested, please call the Parsons Center IMMEDIATELY at 304-478-2423 because we only have until tomorrow to cancel the trip if we don’t have enough interest.
ARK ENCOUNTER AND CREATION MUSEUM
We are planning a trip to Kentucky to visit the full size Noah’s Ark and the Creation Museum. This will be a 2 day/1 night trip on October 9th and 10th. The price will be $250. This will include lodging, motor coach, driver gratuity, and admission to both attractions. If you are interested, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423 and get your name on the list. We will call people in the order of the list.
MT. TOP GAME DAY
We will be having another game day at the Mt. Top Center on Tuesday, July 25th. We will have ladder ball, waffle ball toss, corn hole, puzzles and card games. Please come and have a refreshing drink and join us for a fun day. We will start at approximately 10:30 a.m. Lunch will follow at 11:30 a.m.
PARSONS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The Parsons Center will be honoring those who have birthdays in the month of July on Thursday, July 20th. The Goldenaires will entertain beginning at 10:30 a.m. WV Caring will provide delicious birthday cake for dessert following lunch at 11:30 a.m.
ST. GEORGE OUTPOST
The monthly St George Outpost will be held on Thursday, July 20th at the St. George Methodist Church. Bring your favorite covered dish and join us for dinner at 6:00 p.m. and fellowship afterwards.
