The Tucker County Cultural District Authority will be launching their website at two public presentations.
The first is at Piccolo Paula’s in Parsons at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26.
The second is in the Mountaintop Senior Center in Thomas at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 28.
At these public meetings, the Cultural District will give a tutorial on their website, which includes grant resources, consolidated contact information for Tucker County’s nonprofit organizations, an interactive asset map, a directory of cultural assets, and more. Verglas Media designed the site.
At these public meetings, the CDA will also discuss its recently adopted performance agenda. This performance agenda functions as a strategic plan for cultural tourism in the county guiding the organization on how to best protect, connect, enhance, and promote Tucker County cultural assets. The contents of the performance agenda are a result of year’s worth of research and public meetings conducted by WVU Extension and the Cultural District Authority.
Other ongoing news from the CDA will be shared at this time, including the Tucker Culture image series, the 2017 CDA grant cycle, and some new initiatives the CDA is coordinating.
If you are unable to attend either meeting, but would still like information on either the strategic plan or the website, please contact the Cultural District at tuckerculture@gmail.com.
Light refreshments will be served at both public meetings, and all are encouraged to attend.
Additionally, note that the CDA’s grant cycle is currently open. If you would like an application, you can either email tuckerculture@gmail.com for a digital file or pick up a paper copy at the Convention & Visitors Bureau in Davis or the Tucker Community Foundation office in Parsons. Applications are due August 3, 2017.
