TUCKER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY UPDATE

 ELKINS – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams traveled to Elkins for the Forest Festival Invitational on Saturday September 9th.


Freshman Morgan Key was the top finisher for the Lady Mt. Lions as she finished 27th place out 102 runners on a time of 25:48.15. Freshman Karlee Smith also had a great run with a 29th place finish with a time of 26:11.34. Other finishes and time for the Tucker County Girls’ are as follows: 51st Natalie Evans(28:45.83), 54th Mikala Betler(29:27.94), 70th Zoe Nestor(31:40.67), 75th Caitlin Fladung(32:05.76) and 77th Sarah Bates(32:08.53). The Lady Mt. Lions finished 7th overall with a team score of 174 points among 11 teams.

Sophomore Will White was the top runner for the Tucker County Boys’ team with a 26th place finish out of 154 total runners with a time of 20:50.42. Other finishers for the Mt. Lions were as follows: 29th Joseph Lewandowski(20:57.11), 32nd Jack Melnick(21:04.56), 54th Jonathan Rhodes(22:16.02), 59th Cameron Wamsley(22:34.35), 60th Connor Greenlief(22:38.87), 70th Chris Chambers(23:08.01), 86th Taylor Long(24:16.63), 128th Nathaniel Rader(27:06.97) and 134th Davis Kines(27:28.43). The team finished 7th overall with 165 points as a team among 14 teams. Both teams will return to action on September 16th at Berkeley Springs. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
