The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Patrick J. Hewitt, Bealston, Va. was cited for speeding (74-65) by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Kenneth E. Ballerini, Arlington, Va. was cited for speeding (74-65) by K.L. Keplinger. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Ajay J. Moce, Millburn, NJ was cited for speeding (74-65) by Cpl. J.E. Jopec. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Edward L. Lewandowski, III, Thomas was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Donald C. Black, Davis, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Joshua B. Foster, Morgantown, was cited for expired MVI by Deputy B.T. Zirk. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Joshua B. Foster, Morgantown, was cited for expired MVI and no proof of insurance by Deputy B.T. Zirk. He pled guilty to the first charge and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Stacy K. Marsh, Moatsville, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
The following criminal charge has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Alexandra Church, Syracuse, IN, was charged with two counts of Contribute Delinquency of a minor. According to the complaint, on Monday, Aug. 14 at approximately 3:21 p.m. TFC J.J. Schmidle met Cass Jones at the West Virginia State Police Detachment. She advised her 16 year old son was allegedly provided alcohol by the defendant. The male youth provided a handwritten and signed statement. He stated he knows the defendant from a local restaurant. He advised he allegedly asked the defendant to buy a bottle of whiskey for him. He stated he gave her money and drove her to the store to get the alcohol. He said she went into the store and bought the whiskey. He advised that he and a friend went to his house and drank the whiskey. Jones advised she discovered that her son and his friend had been drinking when he got sick. She then recovered the whiskey from him. Church posted a $1,000 PR bond.
The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- State of West Virginia verses Kandice L. Sponaugle; She received judgment of not guilty verdict for one count Violation of Protective Order which occurred on May 24. This case was heard on Aug 31 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- State of West Virginia verses Wanda G. Freeman: she received judgment of guilty verdict for one count Failure to yield right of way at intersection which occurred on June 15. She was assessed fines of $4.754 and court cost of $165.25. This case was heard on Aug 29 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- State of West Virginia verse Robert L. Roy, Jr.: He received judgment of dismissed for one count Domestic Battery. Motion was made to transfer to Circuit Court. This case was heard on Sept. 8 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- State of West Virginia verses Robert L. Roy, Jr.: He received judgment of probable cause found for one count Strangulation of another. This case was heard on Sept. 8 by Magistrate William M. Miller. A $10 fee was assessed.
