Submitted by Commissioner Diane Hinkle

Progress on the Parsons’  Diversion Wall project continues.  The damaged areas have been repaired. The concrete mat has been delivered and will be installed as soon as the river water level allows.

The Hamrick PSD project is in its final stages of completion and includes painting of the water tank inside and out, construction of a new modern water plant and replaced aging water lines and hydrants through-out the system. The water line extension to Location costumers is in progress but behind schedule.

The next  County Roundtable will be held in at Hendricks Town Hall, Monday, Nov. 13 from 6 -7:30 p.m.  This is the third in a series of public meetings facilitated by the commission and hosted at different locations around the county.  The first meeting was held in January at the Courthouse; the June meeting was hosted by the Canaan Valley VFD and Auxiliary.  The general public is encouraged to attend.  The agenda will be posted at tuckercountycommission.com/agendas-minutes/ prior to the meeting.

A new sign has been posted at the County Farm Road for Camp Kidd.

The Development Authority has reported 47% business growth; the largest of any county in West Virginia.

Corridor H construction is underway on the seven and a half mile section of highway from Kerens to Moore.

Amendments to the EMS Ordinance were presented for the first reading at the last Commission meeting. Three readings are required before approval.

Tucker County Day at the Capital is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24.
