Eloise Laverne Blizard, 91, passed from this life Thursday, September 28, 2017 at her home in Rockville, MD.
Eloise was born Monday, December 7, 1925 in Hambleton, a daughter of the late Cecil Leon Pennington Sr. and Edith Marie Pennington. She had married Virgil Lee Blizard Sr. who preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are three children, Cecelia Seaton and husband Thomas, Virgil Blizard Jr. and wife June Lowell and Colleen Blizard and husband Jeff McDonald; four grandchildren Lana, Olivia, Jennifer and Tina; three great-grandchildren; two siblings, Clyde Dale Pennington Sr. and wife Nancy and Effie Jane Gainer and sister-in-law Alma Jo Pennington.
Preceding Eloise in death besides her parents and husband were two brothers, Cecil Leon Pennington Jr. and Charles Darwin Pennington Sr.
Eloise’s request for cremation was honored. A graveside service will be conducted in Parsons City Cemetery Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Susan Metzner will officiate and inurnment will follow. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Eloise’s name to the Rockville United Methodist Church 112 West Montgomery Avenue Rockville, MD 20850.
