PHILIPPI, WV – Community members are invited to join the Senior Life Solutions Program at Broaddus Hospital for an open house on November 9 from Noon until 5 p.m.
Donetta McVicker, BSN, RN , Senior Life Solutions Program Director, said, “We’re extremely excited to welcome the community into our location and meet the staff. This event is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in Senior Life Solutions to come and see what the program has to offer.”
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the program facility and ask questions while enjoying light refreshments. A special “Community Grief” balloon release is scheduled for 5 p.m.
The event will be held at the Medical Professional Building behind Broaddus Hospital.
Broaddus Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions program, an intensive outpatient group therapy program, is designed to meet the unique needs of older adults over the age of 65 struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety often related to aging.
“The program delivers immense value to the senior population in our community,” said Broaddus CEO Dana Gould. “We hope the community will support this event by attending and learning more about all it has to offer.”
Following an individual assessment, participants meet three times per week in a supportive, encouraging group setting. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed social workers, a registered nurse, and other professionals dedicated to the emotional well-being of the seniors in our community. Family members, physicians, or other health professionals can refer individuals to the program.
