They lived in Parsons prior to moving to the Porterwood area. They had the following children: Jim Filler, Gary (wife is Glenda) Filler, Rick (wife is Ann) Filler, Charlotte (1938-1971, wife of James L. Humphrey), E. Diane (1945-1948). Percy worked for the Western Maryland Railways for 42 years. He was a foreman for bridges and building. Ruth worked for 17 years as a clerk at the H & P Store in Parsons.
