Shirley Ann Browning Blosser

Shirley Ann Browning Blosser, 74, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Davis Medical Center.


Shirley was born Thursday, July 29, 1943 in Belington, a daughter of the late George Browning and Alberta Weese Browning.  During 1962 in Belington, she was married to Samuel Bruce Blosser, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 15, 2007.

Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are three sons, Samuel Bruce Blosser, Jr, Terry Lee Blosser and wife, Sheila, and Larry Dee Blosser, all of Parsons, one sister, Beulah Griffith and husband, Henry of Lorraine, OH, one grandson, Walker Blosser of Morgantown, and two step grandchildren, Ashley Novallis of Thomas and Jason Crakes of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Marshall Browning and Herb Browning.
Shirley attended the schools of Barbour County, was a homemaker and worked as a waitress at Shirley’s Restaurant for many years.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, talking on the telephone, and shopping at Wal-Mart.

A visitation was held at Hostetler Funeral Home on Monday December 18, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the funeral hour.  Interment followed at Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman.  The Hostetler Funeral Home was been entrusted with the arrangements for Shirley Ann Browing Blosser.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com
