Allen Dale Fansler, 85, a resident of Hambleton, passed from this life Friday, January 5, 2017 at Nella’s Inc. in Elkins.
Allen was born Saturday, December 3, 1932, in Hambleton, a son of the late Otis Steve Fansler and the late Pearl Losh Fansler. On December 26, 1959, in Oakland, MD, he was united in marriage to the former Zetta Jean Carr. They had celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Left to cherish Allen’s memory is two sons, Greg Fansler and wife, Linda Kay, of Manassas and Randy Fansler and wife Theresa of Stanley, one sister, Loretta Fansler, five grandchildren, Michelle and Ashley Fansler, Jayden and Kayden Hedrick, and Hunter Williams and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Allen in death besides his parents was one daughter, Pamela Jean Fansler, and two brothers, Paul and Otis Fansler.
Allen graduated Parsons High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. His last employment was with the North Central Community Action as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and had attended the Parsons Church of God.
Visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral service was held at the funeral home chapel on Monday, January 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. Rev. Robert Leard and Rev. Eli Hostetler officiated and interment followed in the Parsons City Cemetery. The Hostetler Funeral Home was been entrusted with the arrangements for Allen Dale Fansler.
